I am Destani Celeste Oliver, born to Isaac and Charisse Oliver on September 5, 2001.  

I am the baby of 4 beautiful girls, Crenice, Desiree, and Caasi. With the blessings of being raised in a lovely Christian home, I accepted Christ and was baptized at a very young age. 

I was an active member of Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church.  My former education began at Beatrice Mayes Institute Charter School. I attended Dr. Kirk Lewis Career and Technical High School as a cosmetology student studying for the State Board examination, March 2020.  As an academic graduating senior, I was a member of the track team, school choir, and an active member of the 2020 prom committee. I was also hand-chosen to sit-on the Pasadena ISD Superintendent's Student Advisory committee where I shared my voice as a student leader. I spent my free time gaining community service hours with organizations such as Target Hunger, Sysco Foods, Comcast Cares, Houston Food Bank, and Gulf Coast Blood Center. As a hard worker, I was employed by Ahi Poke and iT’Z where I gained customer relations and great interpersonal skills.  

Upon graduation, I planned to attend Southern University in Louisiana, pursuing a double major in Speech Therapy and Surgical Technician OB/GYN. However, suddenly on February 3, 2020, my earthly life was traded for eternal rest and peace. Therefore, at the request of my family, my legacy continues and will bless future seniors pursuing their college dreams.  Your Destani Awaits Scholarship Fund.
